Fans furious over Wellington ice hockey cancellation
Thousands of fans left Wellington's Westpac Stadium yesterday angry and disappointed at the cancellation of an international ice hockey exhibition match between the USA and Canada. A Canadian ice hockey fan who'd bought tickets to the cancelled match in Wellington says the organisers should have been better prepared for the capital's weather. The match was called off on Sunday, after two earlier postponements on Saturday. One fan, Allan Abbott, told RNZ reporter Sarah Robson he was in the stadium when a plexi-glass wall around the ice rink collapsed.
