Single-use plastic major threat to NZ seabirds

Single use plastic is emerging as one of the biggest threats to the nation's sea birds, many of which are already classified as threatened. Forest and Bird has presented the government with evidence the Tasman Sea is the riskiest place in the world for sea birds when it comes to ingesting waste plastic. Ecologist Stephanie Borrelle told RNZ reporter Conan Young how plastic affects the birds.
