Wellington apartment owners pay more than QV on quake repairs

Wellington apartment owners are being forced to spend more than the value of their home to quake-safe their buildings. A new survey shows apartment owners in Wellington are facing bills on average of about $500,000 to bring their home up to code - as required by law. But the average QV of those units as of late last year is $430,000. Apartment owners say local and central government needs to do more to help - and fast.
