Methamphetamine remains the number one drug cited in the country's courts - with more than 8,000 charges laid in the last financial year.
The annual release of Ministry of Justice figures also say that over the same 12 months, 65,000 adults were charged with at least one offence of any type.
The data set also highlights another year of low conviction rates for rape charges.
