Covid-19 spurs protests in China

Covid-19 is flaring up in China, and so are protests in many cities and campuses across the world's most-populous nation and second-largest economy.

The unprecedented dissent has been spurred by the government's hardline zero-Covid policies.

But also by what many see as the prospect of unending lockdowns going into the the future.

Political scientist and China expert Anne-Marie Brady spoke to Corin Dann from France, where she has been closely following the growing turmoil in East Asia and its possible impact on New Zealand.
