Muriwai residents on Auckland's west coast say poor design and maintenance of drains is the main reason behind damage caused by recent storms.
In February, the combined impact of the Auckland Anniversary floods and Cyclone Gabrielle brought down three major slips in the settlement.
More than a hundred homes can't be lived in and almost three months on, many residents remain displaced. Locals say they are left facing the consequences of years of neglect by Auckland Council.
