The G7 summit in Japan has wrapped up overnight, with Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, ending the meeting by thanking the leaders for their enduring support of his country.

With Russia's war against Ukriane dominating talks, the US President Joe Biden announced a new military aid package, which includes ammunition, artillery and vehicles.

The military aid package is worth almost $600 million NZD (US $375 million), and Mr Biden also discussed the United States' support for allies to train Ukrainian pilots on fourth-generation fighter aircraft.
