Māori leaders from the six leading political parties battled it out over race, health, climate change and employment in a debate on Thursday night.

The Hui's Māori Policy debate hosted by Julian Wilcox aimed to get each party to reveal what they would do for Māori if elected.

Taking part were Labour's Willie Jackson, National's Tama Potaka, the Greens' Marama Davidson, Act's Karen Chhour, New Zealand First's Shane Jones and Te Pāti Māori's Tākuta Ferris.
