High-powered discussions in Waikato-Tainui are on hold following tribal elections, in which Tukoroirangi Morgan wasn't re-elected as Chair of the executive; The Maori Broadcasting Funding Agency says its mainstream counterpart is creating a challenge in the media industry, due to the need for more Maori programme makers; The Taranaki Maori Trust Board Chairman, Miko Niho, says Taranaki tribes have told the Board not to interfere in its Treaty negotiations with the Crown; One of the judges of this year's Ahuwhenua Trophy, Maori Excellence in Farming Award, says there's a good geographical spread of entries in the competition, which this year is for dairy farmers.
