3:20 Blair Parkes - Over Bored

Christchurch musician Blair Parkes has had a long and storied career, even if he’s not a household name.   His first two bands All Fall Down and The Letter 5 were signed to Flying Nun in the late eighties, and since then he’s released over forty singles, EPs and albums, in multiple bands including The L.E.D.s, Thomas Parkes, and 103, and over the last few years a consistent run of solo albums.

I reviewed Parkes’ most recent album Over Bored on The Sampler, and wanted to learn more about his forty year musical history, so I contacted Blair at his home in New Brighton.
