After trouncing John Banks with a majority of just under 65,000 in the first super city elections, Mr Brown now has to figure out how to run the largest council in Australasia. He's already in discussions with the transition agency that has set up the council and says that the roles and responsibilities of the 21 local boards need to be clarified before the super city officially comes into force on 1 November.

Don Ritchie lives by the notorious Sydney suicide spot, The Gap. He is nicknamed "Angel of the Gap" for helping to save lives of an estimated 160 people who had planned to commit suicide there. He was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2006 for his services to suicide prevention.
