Police will reassess their search for a kayaker missing on Lake Ellesmere south of Christchurch this morning, which has been ongoing since Saturday.
Only the man's kayak was found yesterday afternoon - the North Canterbury Coastguard say they've been stood down until the police call them back in.
In Wellington, a man died after after getting into trouble in the water at Seatoun on Saturday night.
And a father and son, Darren and Joshua Southon, were found dead off the coast of Wairarapa on Saturday.
They were snorkelling for kaimoana on Friday before family on the beach reported them missing..
