Paul Chaat Smith is an author, essayist, and the curator of the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian. His work focusses on the contemporary landscape of American Indian politics and culture. His book Like a Hurricane: the Indian Movement from Alcatraz to Wounded Knee is now a standard text in Native studies and American history courses. Paul was recently in Aotearoa to host a series of talks and Q&A sessions at various galleries. And he took time out to chat with Susie Ferguson on Afternoons.
