Mandy Hagstrom - When's the best time to exercise?

Exercise is important, but when to do it? It depends on what you need exercise to do for you. Some people prefer the afternoon, some the morning, other people have trouble getting out of bed. Exercise NZ quoted a global study this past week which found physical activity is a preventative against Covid - almost 40 percent fewer hospitalisations for people who are physically active. This was during periods of lockdown when people may have slackened off doing as much exercise as usual. Dr Mandy Hagstrom is a New Zealander at the University of NSW, she's an exercise scientist whose work focuses on resistance training. She's taught at five different universities, and now she leads teams that publish research as well.
