Maritime New Zealand reports no change to the state of the Rena wreck despite rough weather.
The asgency says it is monitoring the ship and there are no signs of any significant movement at this stage.
Svitzer Salvage says operations will resume when conditions improve.
A tug, Go Canopus, will remain at the wreck over the weekend.
