New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has won her opening doubles match at the prestigious Indian Wells tournament in California.
Teaming up with regular British partner Heather Watson, Erakovic beat the American seventh seeds, Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears, 6-3 6-4.
Erakovic and Watson now face a Taiwanese-Slovakian combination.
Erakovic's singles tournament didn't last long, she was bundled out 6-3 6-4 in the first round by Israel's Shahar Peer.
Erakovic won her maiden WTA title at Memphis in two weeks ago.
