The Crusaders first five Dan Carter has returned home from Perth and won't play against the Western Force this weekend.
Carter missed the Crusaders' two Super Rugby matches in South Africa for the birth of his first child.
He flew to Perth on Sunday, but suffered a hamstring injury in training and is now returning home.
It means Tyler Bleyendaal will again start in the number 10 jersey.
