Joy for Juniors at hockey World Cup

The junior New Zealand men's hockey team have progressed to the medal round of the Junior World Cup in Singapore with a 2 -2 draw with the Netherlands.

The Junior Black Sticks needed to win at least one point against the Netherlands to finish second in Pool D above India.

The Netherlands went up 2 - 0 before Hugo Inglis drew one back and Simon Child converted a stroke for the equaliser.

The Dutch won Pool D with 10 points.

Simon Child is the tournament's leading goal scorer going into the play-offs with eight goals.
