The Perth Wildcats have begun their Australian National Basketball League campaign with a hard-fought 83-80 victory over the Adelaide 36ers at Perth Arena.
Grand finalists for the last two years, the Wildcats are again tipped to be title contenders this season, and Perth renew their rivalry with three-time champions the New Zealand Breakers Thursday week at Auckland's North Shore Events Centre.
