Five time world champion, Craig Alexander of Australia and Olympic gold medallist Jan Fordeno of Germany will head the men's field for this month's Ironman 70.3 in Auckland.
The race doubles as the official Asia Pacific Championship and the field also includes two time Olympic medallist Bevan Docherty, 10 time Ironman New Zealand champion Cameron Brown and last year's New Zealand runner up Terenzo Bozzone.
After being based mainly in the USA of the last ten years forty year old Alexander has shifted back to Sydney and his focus away from Ironman to the half distance of Ironman 70.3.
