British press says Man U. to sack Moyes

7:38 pm on 22 April 2014

Manchester United is refusing to confirm British newspaper reports that it's about to sack manager David Moyes after only one season.

The BBC's football correspondent Richard Conway says the newspaper journalists are well informed and it would be easy for United to refute their claims if they weren't true.

The Daily Mail's football writer Ian Ladyman says Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp, Holland's Louis van Gaal and Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti are possible replacements.

He says United are unlikely to select another young British manager.

Manchester United are currenlty seventh in the premiership and have missed out on a place in

the Champions league for the first time in 18 years.
