Formula One's championship leader Nico Rosberg has signed a multi-year contract extension with Mercedes ahead of his home German grand prix at Hockenheim this weekend.
The deal was expected as Mercedes said two months ago that they had long-term relationships with both Rosberg and team mate Lewis Hamilton.
The 29-year-old German, who got married in Monaco last week, leads his team-mate Hamilton by a mere four points at the halfway stage of the Formula One championship.
Rosberg has yet to win in Germany.
