The New Zealand equestrian Andrew Nicholson has created history by winning his third straight Burghley Horse Trial title in England.
Nicholson onboard Avebury went clear in the showjumping to finish ahead of New Zealand team-mate Jock Paget on Clifton Promise.
Nicholson says it's an amazing feeling, he has the easy part and Avebury is such a special horse.
Nicholson took the lead after yesterday's cross country.
Paget too was full of praise for his horse after he went clear over the jumps to improve from 4th, while Australian Sam Griffiths dropped a couple of rails to finish third.
It's an impressive result for the New Zealanders after their disappointing results at the recent World Games in France.
Jonelle Price was 9th.
