The veteran New Zealand Swimmer Dean Kent has failed to qualify for the semi finals of the 200 metres individual medley at the Beijing Olympics.
Kent finished seventh in his heat, posting a time of two minutes and 1.12 seconds.
Although his was the quickest of the six heats, he was almost two and a half seconds behind the winner.
