Oxfam Vanuatu's country director says the NGO has not been intervening in politics with its involvement in a campaign to increase women's representation in parliament.
Elizabeth Faerua says the 'vot woman' campaign, calling for 50 percent of Parliament's seats to be reserved for women, is organised by local groups and Oxfam is only a facilitator.
The NGO was scolded last week by the Internal Affairs minister, Andrew Napuat.
Ms Faerua spoke to Dominic Godfrey who asked her whether Oxfam had exceeded its mandate and become political.
