1:15 Finding new planets that 'shoudn't exist'.

Astronomers are bewildered by a planet that shouldn't exist. We know of hundreds planets orbiting red giant stars.

The one in question is Planet Halla, in orbit of the star Baekdu, which was discovered in 2015 a team of Korean astronomers.

In research published today, scientists explain that Halla should have been engulfed by Baekdu becaues the star is burning helium.

Dr Daniel Huber is an astronomer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney. He talks to Jesse.

1:25 Ironing Bored makes it to the Parkin Drawing Prize shortlist

Every Sunday, Masterton-based Jann Lenihan ironed her work clothes day-dreaming about the art she'd make if she had time.

She began drawing the ironing board cover, and now, 20 years later Jann's piece, titled Ironing Bored has been shortlisted for the prestigious Parkin Drawing Prize.

There were 500 entries this year, and the 86 finalists will be on display in early August.

Jann speaks to Jesse about about making the shortlist.
