From Afternoons, 1:25 pm on 18 August 2014

This week we present 1963. The year New Zealand came a little closer to the rest of the world with the introduction of the inaugural twice weekly London - New Zealand jet airline service. The Mangare International airport was still three years from opening and all air traffic serving Auckland shared the RNZAF base.
