Lynda Chanwai-Earle meets an eminent agricultural scientist in Wellington. His work has had a far reaching effects on agriculture here and abroad. Originally from Pakistan, Dr Hanif Quazi reflects on living in New Zealand since 1967 as a Muslim and discusses some of the ethical issues surrounding genetic engineering within his science, especially when these clash with his Islamic faith.
