Waka jumping and Whaitiri

So-called waka-jumping bill could be passed tonight. One school of thought is that this signifies the death throes of the first-past-the-post electoral system. And a leaked report apparently claims the former MP Meka Whaitiri caused bruising of a press secretary's arm after grabbing them. Is this and should this "woman-handling" incident mean the end of her career? Political commentator Richard Harman says this situation is very different form cases where MPs have had a go at each other.
