The exploitation of immigrant workers is becoming more commonplace in New Zealand. It stems from the initial advertising of jobs, according to the Union Network of Migrants, where employers place a generic ad with no intention of employing a local. There's now a call for work visas not to be tied to a specific employer to overcome the practice.
