'I knew I was doing the wrong thing' - forced adoption in New Zealand

From The House , 7:35 am on 19 March 2017

For thirty years between the 1950s and 1980s thousands of unwed mothers in New Zealand were forced to adopt out their children.

One of those women, Maggie Wilkinson, has petitioned Parliament to undertake an inquiry into the practice and this week she, and other women with similar experiences appeared before Parliament's Social Services Committee to share their stories.
