A festival supporting and showcasing Christchurch's emerging musical talent. Last weekend the Christchurch music industry trust - CHART - held Chartfest. It's a one day festival showcasing some of the brightest musical talents emerging from the garden city, as well as providing musicians with performance clinics, career workshops, and industry forums as part of New Zealand Music Month. Kirsten Johnstone was there to soak up the atmosphere and hear performances by the likes of The Eastern, Ragamuffin Children, Solaa, Maitraya and Shocking Pinks.
