- 3 egg yolks
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 1 C milk
- 1 C + 2 tbsp dark rum
- 1 C cream, stiffly beaten
- 1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg or chocolate
In a large bowl place egg yolks and whisk till light in colour.
Add sugar and whisk until thick and creamy.
Add milk and rum and stir to combine.
Chill for three hours and then gently fold in cream.
Chill for one hour. A thick froth will settle on the top of the eggnog.
Pour into 10 small glasses, spoon froth on top and sprinkle with nutmeg or chocolate
