The president of the Fiji Council of Churches says indigenous Fijians should first apologise to other races before any reconciliation can take place.
Father Apimeleki Qilio nmade the comment in an interview with Radio Fiji.
Father Qilio says indigenous Fijians were the perpetrators of the 2000 coup and therefore they need to take the first step in apologising.
He says churches are doing what they can but they need to put more effort into biblical understanding of reconciliation.
