Protestors who tried to visit detainees on Nauru are disappointed they are heading home from the island earlier than expected.
Two yachts have begun their journey back to Australia after failing to get permission to land at Nauru.
Nauru's Melbourne based spokesperson Helen Bogdan says presents taken to Nauru by protestors can still be given to the detainees:
"They have still got the gifts they were going to give to the children in the camp and I suggested that they give them to the Nauru government in Australia and they would be given to the children in the camp."
