Fiji's police commissioner says he is confident more people will be charged soon in connection with the 13-million US dollar agriculture ministry scam during the term of the post coup interim administration.

Radio Legend reports that some ministers in the interim administration and business people are being questioned in connection with the scam.

Andrew Hughes says all the people involved in defrauding the state will be taken to task for abusing taxpayers' funds.

Mr Hughes says sufficient evidence will be forwarded soon to the director of public prosecutions for charges to be laid.

Critics have alleged that money spent in the scam was used to buy votes in the first post coup elections in 2001.
