American Samoa's inter Island Airways' Dornier aircraft returned to service yesterday morning after it grounded last Friday due to an engine problem.

The 19-passenger seat plane encountered a problem with one of its propellers mid flight Friday enroute from Pago Pago to Faleolo International Airport in Samoa.

The flight turned back to Pago Pago without incident although there were reports of concerned passengers.

Airline maintenance crew worked on the problem and test flights were carried out Monday with the Dornier resuming flights yesterday morning including two extra flights for Apia.
