6:05 am on 18 September 2006

The preliminary hearing for the Chinese man and woman accused of operating a prostitution racket in American Samoa was delayed last week after a translator for the couple could not be found.

The case will now be heard tomorrow

The couple face multiple charges, including promoting prostitution and kidnapping.

The FBI, along with local police, is investigating the case.

District Court Judge John Ward said if a translator for Fu Shen Kuo and Sheng Li Wang could not be found on island, then the government may have to use off island services.
