The runner-up in Samoa's recent beauty pageant, Poinsetia Taefu, has now been officially declared the holder of the title.
The announcement came after the beauty pageant's committee met on Monday when the outgoing winner, Pearl Macfall, handed back the crown to the Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Misa Telefoni Retzlaff.
Ms MacFall was found to be underage when the contest took place.
The new Miss Samoa will be crowned in a special ceremony on Friday.
It is the first time a controversy of this kind has affected a beauty contest results since it started more than 15 years ago.
