Three former ANZ Amerika Samoa bank employees have been charged with stealing, embezzlement and forgery.
Tofa Toeinina, a supervisor, Jessie Maiava and Caroline Ulberg had worked at the Ofu ANZ branch in Manu'a.
It's alleged Tofa Toeinina had been stealing bank funds for more than two years while the other two initially started off borrowing money with the approval of Tofa Toeinina with the intention of repaying the money, but this did not happen.
According to the government, the total amount that the employees are suspected of stealing is 100,000 US dollars.
A fourth person, who was also under investigation, is now serving as a prosecution witness
