Probe of former Fiji broadcasting boss suspended

12:22 pm on 6 August 2007

Reports from Fiji say the investigation into claims of corruption against former Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Limited Chief Executive, Francis Herman, has been suspended.

The Fiji Times says this follows a mutual agreement between him and the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption.

A month ago, Mr Herman was prevented from flying to Australia and he was told he was on a watchlist.

The anti-corruption body had said the probe related to allegations of Mr Herman abusing equipment for personal use.
