Police in American Samoa investigate break- in thought to have caused US$10,000 worth of damage

Police in American Samoa are investigating

a break-in at Samoana High School, which school officials estimate has caused damage of more than 10 thousand US dollars.

The break-in happened in the two-story Science Building, which houses several classrooms.

The worst damage was caused at the Physical Science and Home Economics classrooms were brand new computers were completely destroyed.

Sewing machines and other equipment in the Home Ecomic classroom was vandalized with

flour, sugar and ink poured into the sewing machines and all over the floor.

Police and school officials says this is the fifth

break-in at Samoana High School in the past four weeks.
