Fiji's interim education minister, Filipe Bole, says the sending home of boarders at Labasa College will not hapen again.
He made the commitment to parents and the community in Labasa.
More than 200 boarders at the leading state school were sent home last week because the institution could not afford to feed them.
Mr Bole said Labasa College has the capability to maintain its boarding facilities and the ministry will continue to assist the school.
