The Cook Islands Tourism Corporation says although the industry has had a good high season this year, it may face challenges.
Several key markets of the Cook Islands are facing economic difficulties, with New Zealand in recession and Europe joining a slowdown seen in the US.
However, the head of the Tourism Corporation, John Dean, says while bookings for the end of the year are strong, marketing campaigns will continue in the months ahead.
"You can't afford to sit on your hands and sit on the laurels as it were, oh no, we've got some fairly serious campaigns all planned right up to November...the flights are full but after Christmas and New year we'll start again."
