Australian Martin Shaw has been appointed Cricket Fiji General manager.
Shaw was CEO ot Table Tennis for Australia and for the past three years as CEO of Football Federation Tasmania.
Cricket Fiji Board Member Omid Saberi is confident Shaw their first ever general manager will take cricket to a new level in Fiji.
Shaw says it's an important time in the developing world of cricket and with increased funding from the International Cricket Council, Fiji is in a position to make enormous strides in the sport both on and off the field.
He says his aim will be to continue with the development of cricket at the grass roots level with improvements in governance and administration.
Cricket Fiji is an Associate Member of the ICC, and the National Men's Squad will be competing in World Cricket League Division 4 to be held in Tanzania from 4th to 11th October 2008.
