PNG and China sign a business agreement

Papua New Guinea and China have signed a deal to promote agricultural exchanges and co-operation and boost investment and trade development between the two countries.

The National newspaper reports the Investment Promotion Authority facilitated the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Guangdong provincial agriculture agency and the Department of Agriculture and Livestock.

The Guangdong team led by the deputy director general Chen Fulin toured PNG and Fiji to explore agriculture investment opportunities and to set up co-operation to develop agriculture and its sub-sectors, particularly livestock.
