A centre to help military veterans has opened in American Samoa at the old Army Reserve Center in Tafuna village.
The Governor Togiola Tulafono says the American Samoa Vet Center, will seek out veterans exposed to combat trauma and will provide a broad range of services to help them adjust to civilian life.
Togiola expressed delight at the opening of the centre for which a need had been identified five years ago when the first soldiers returned from combat in Iraq.
