Solar eclipse to be seen from Marshalls

2:43 pm on 22 July 2009

A total solar eclipse that shadowed parts of India is set to move by Marshall Islands Enewetak and Ujae Atolls.

The full eclipse is expected to be visible from the Atolls for a half an hour from 3.30 this afternoon, Marshall Island time.

But, reports say the visibility in Enewetak will be poor as it is currently raining.

The eclipse is suggested to move further down the line, where it will also be visible in Kiribati and Phoenix Islands.
