The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in Suva has appointed two new programme directors.
Su'a Kevin Thomsen from New Zealand has been appointed director of strategic partnerships and coordination, a position that's just been created.
Australian Tanya Chakriya Bowman is the new director of the economic governance programme.
The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat secretary general, Tuiloma Neroni Slade says the two senior appointments were made after a transparent process of advertising and interviews.
Su'a Thomsen has worked in the ministries of Social Development, and Pacific Island Affairs in New Zealand.
Ms Bowman was AUSAID's Pacific director and trade advisor.
