Foundations for the construction of a two-storey building at the Solomon Islands Football Federation academy field have been laid.
It comes as a similar structure nears completion in Malaita, while another one will be constructed at the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Gizo once improvements to the playing surface are completed.
Work on venues for futsal and beach soccer in Honiara, Malaita and Western Province are being lined up to start after the completion of the 11-a-side venues next year.
